North of England has been using catoons in its posters, calendars and presentations for many years with great success. Although the subjects are most serious - Seafarers do tend to have a great sense of humor and appreciate this type of approach. The use of a cartoon strip book therefore - to explain the concepts in a humorous and entertaining way - is a new but also a logical development of the general idea.
